TIME PERIOD TO DONATE TO BLAM CHARITY COMPLETE ( FEEL FREE TO LOAD FOR FREE)

A prayer and message to the world for Justice. I first wrote this song some years back after going to a London protest, but never released the song at the time . However since the more recent unfortunate events of black individuals facing police brutality, such as George Floyd and Breonna Taylor and many other cases of black people being victim to oppressive and racist systems, I decided to go back to the song.

Due to the current pandemic and state I was unable to go to a real studio to get this together how I initially intended. But I was able to record the vocals myself, write the song and even produce the beat ( along with the help of Jason Bond Productions who stepped in last minute to help me put the production together so that i can share the message of this song and my prayer for justice!
I hope to use this song to also spread awareness and support a Black organisation dedicated to making a positive change, as such I have made it so that you can make a donation by paying whatever you want for the track! All proceeds will be going to a charity/ organisation of my choice.

Between the months of June to 2 November 2020, ALL PROCEEDS RAISED FROM THIS BANDCAMP SONG JUSTICE WERE GIVEN TO BLACK CHARITY.I managed to raise an amount to go toward their programmes during this period. As of 2 November I will no longer be raising these funds so if you would like you can support the charity direct

I hope to recreate this demo in the future and have available on streaming platforms.

lyrics

Justice

Chorus
Lord Please answer our prayer
Lead us to our welfare
We’re done living in fear
Cause we can’t live
we can’t breathe
We need justice

The innocent has been harmed
Give us strength to push on
This oppression’s too long
Cause we can’t live
we can’t breathe
Where’s the justice?

Verse1
Tell me what has become of our rights?
It feels like every day still a fight
We keep on going with all of our might
if you’re with us then we’ll be alright
Too many things that we’ve had to endure
Too many times we’ve been knocked and abhorred
Its enough and it must be condemned
If not now Oh then when will it end?

Chorus
Lord please answer our prayer
Lead us to our welfare
We’re done living in fear
Cause we can’t live
we can’t breathe
We need justice
The innocent has been harmed
Give us strength to push on
This oppression’s too long
Cause we can’t live
We can’t breathe
We need justice
( Where’s our justice?)
We need justice
And in a dream..

Verse 2
I hoped that we would all see better days
I know that all this pain won’t be in vain
I hoped that Martins dreams would all come true
Because a change is more than overdue
I hoped that we will work it out in time
I don’t believe another live’s worth more than mine
Remember we are one, one human race
( One of the same, one human race)

(Interlude)
We need Justice
Oh hear our prayer

Outro
Cause we cant play ( Tamir rice)
we cant pray ( Charleston)
we need justice

And we cant speak ( Stephon clark)
Cant sell our cds (Alton Sterling)
we need justice

And we cant run (Walter scott, Amaud Arbery)
Cant stay at home ( BothemSean, Breonna Taylor)
we need justice

And we cant read in the car seat (Keith Scott)
we need justice

We cant sleep (Aiyana Jones)
We cant buy sweets (Trayvon Martin)
we need justice

And We cant even get a ticket (Sandra Bland)
we need justice
Oh lord

We cant stay ( Windrush)
We cant fit in ( Shukri)
We need Justice

For you said in your word that you love what is just
So we trust in this time you will rise up for us
Oh the trials of the world they cannot bring us down
For the tide is to come and a change will be found

Its time for a change
Its time for change

Lord hear our prayer

( I cant breathe, we need justice)

Outro

I hoped that we would all see better days
I know that all this pain won’t be in vain
I hoped that Martins dreams would all come true
Because a change is more than overdue
I hoped that we will work it out in time
I don’t believe another live’s worth more than mine
Remember we are one, one human race
( One of the same, one human race)
We need Justice
